Homeschool Mother's Journal-1/26/13

In our homeschool this week…

The twins and I got back into the swing of things after Turbo's surgery.  He shows some signs of memory loss from the anesthesia, so a lot of time was spent reviewing and relearning.  Diva began working on Apologia's Exploring Creation with Zoology and Turbo began working on Handwriting without Tears.  I'll be reviewing soon, so be on the look out!
We continue working through Week 16 of our Classical Conversations Curriculum.  We had to miss Community last week which was a bummer.  But I knew I had to get Turbo back up to feeling well before we started exposing him to the general public again.

Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…

Diva got to go see The Bug Lady's Science Academy again!  If your in or near the Wichita area, you HAVE to check her out!

My favorite thing this week was…

Getting back into our routine.  I kind of like having a schedule and we've had two weeks of no schedule!

My kiddos favorite thing this week was…

Making homemade playdoh.

Things I’m working on…

Getting us back into a schedule.  Its amazing how a couple of weeks off will throw a wrench into everything.  Plus we start a couple of new classes next week so I have to get us organized!

I’m cooking…

...We've been eating a lot of breakfast here lately.  My husband's work keeps messing up his paycheck so things have been a little thin.

I’m praying for…

Friends who will be heading to Africa, health of friends and family, my oldest son finding another job.

A photo, video, link, or quote to share (silly, serious or both!)...

I linked over from iHomeschool and am following you now. I'm on the crew with you. My inlaws are near Wichita, so I'll have to remember The Bug Lady's Science Academy next time we visit them.

The meal worm is a bit gross...my kids are fearless about those kinds of things too! I hope that your husband's work gets his payroll sorted out soon and that your son finds a job.
